This will be a short post this month. The days have flown by fast for me this month! How about you? I can't believe May is almost over. It has been a good month overall. My hubby won a trip to Cabo San Lucas Mexico from the Auto dealership he works at for being in the top 20 auto dealers in the Nation. So proud of his diligent hard work. We feel so blessed to receive this gift. (It was an all expense paid trip...the gratuities were even paid by his company.) I wanted to share a few pictures from our 4 day get-away. It was so nice to have such a peaceful relaxing trip. Wish I could have taken all of you with me! :-)
Despite my dislike of hot weather…or, at least my preference to cooler weather, I celebrate Springtime and the arrival of warm weather. I do enjoy wildflowers, motorcycle riding, the smell of fresh cut grass, fragrant flowers, a little gardening, singing birds, baby animals (I'm seeing lots of rabbits!), outdoor dinners on the patio, farmers markets, and more daylight. I love the feeling of change and expectancy in the air! The changing of seasons and God’s transforming power…wow.
This is a very busy month for me at church in the coffee shop, getting the inventory and supplies ready for the Easter church services. Yes we have a coffee shop at our church! LOL. This year, we have a service on the Saturday night before Easter and 3 services on Easter Sunday! My church is large church with a normal Sunday attendance of 4500-5000 folks, but we will see about 18,000 folks attending on Easter Weekend! People go to church on Easter that never attend any other time... My prayer is for them to come to know the love and goodness of God. Praying that as we all enter into 'Holy Week', we are thankful for the resurrection of Jesus and the promise of eternity in heaven.
I am in the beginning and slightly overdue stages of getting my small and humble garden together. Just some tomatoes, onions, jalapeno and a few herbs. All the makings for Salsa :-)
I have cleared a small spot outside in front of the kitchen window. It will most likely be the week after Easter before that’s done! My month will be quickly consumed by all these busy tasks. I thank God for the strength to do what I do.
I've managed to have a couple of hillcountry motorcycle rides recently. Our wildflowers and bluebonnets have been beautiful this year. Seeing them by motorcycle is so much better than by car! There's nothing more satisfying to me!
**Happy Birthday April 22 to my youngest sister, Amy! Hope it’s the best one ever!
Love you all so much!
A ride to Luckenbach Texas! What a fun place.
